This Privacy Policy describes how DesiBill ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the DesiBill mobile application ("App") and related cloud services. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are

DesiBill is a billing and business management application for Indian businesses. The App syncs your data with our secure cloud servers over encrypted connections (HTTPS).

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the App, we may collect:

• Account information: name, email address, username, and login credentials you provide when registering or signing in.
• Business information: company profile, GST details, addresses, customers, products, invoices, receipts, payments, purchases, inventory, ledger entries, and other records you enter for billing and accounting.
• Device and app data: authentication tokens stored on your device, app preferences (such as theme and company settings), and technical data needed to operate the App (for example, request timestamps and error logs).
• Photos and camera (optional): if you choose to attach images or take photos for documents, the App may access your camera or photo library only after you grant permission.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive categories of data beyond what is required for business billing and compliance features you choose to use.

3. How we use information

We use collected information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App and your account
• Sync your business data between the App and our servers
• Generate invoices, reports, PDFs, and other billing outputs you request
• Authenticate users and protect against unauthorized access
• Respond to support requests and communicate important service updates
• Comply with applicable legal obligations

4. Local storage on your device

The App stores your login session token using secure storage on your device where supported. Some preferences may be stored locally to improve performance. You can sign out of the App to remove session data from the device; local cache may remain until cleared in app or device settings.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal or business data. We may share information only:

• With service providers who host or operate our infrastructure, under confidentiality obligations
• When required by law, regulation, court order, or government request
• To protect the rights, safety, and security of DesiBill, our users, or others
• With your explicit consent

6. Data security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest on our servers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; you are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.

7. Data retention

We retain your account and business data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. We may retain certain records where required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention).

8. Your choices and rights

You may:

• Access and update business information within the App
• Decline camera or photo permissions (some features may not work)
• Sign out or uninstall the App at any time
• Request access, correction, or deletion of your data by contacting us

9. Children's privacy

The App is intended for business users and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Third-party services

The App is distributed via Google Play. Google may collect information according to its own policies when you download or update the App. Our App communicates only with DesiBill servers for core functionality unless you open external links (for example, support or policy pages in your browser).

11. International users

DesiBill is designed primarily for users in India. If you access the App from other regions, your information may be processed on servers located in India or where our providers operate.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
